Nestled deep inside the iLounge hall of CES, between numerous vendors of inexpensive phone cases and yesterday’s news, we became aware of a business that didn’t quite belong. Called NuForce, the firm is recognizable amongst audiophiles for both its high-end gear and consumer lineup that shames overpriced competitors.
Because it happened, we became aware of a mysterious product referred to as Air DAC, and happily, NuForce CEO, Jason Lim was obtainable to provide us a tour. Withholding technical specs (for now), the item is built for top quality wireless audio streaming and can ship as two distinct products — one which operates over USB and another created for Apple’s dock connector.
We’re also told that every transmitter can be associated with four Air DAC receivers and the other way round. Also, the product could be daisy-chained together to pay for larger distances.
